Key Funds in Western Scotland
Key Funds allow organisations to get financial
support for economic activities in the region's areas of greatest
need. Key Funds recognise that organisations new to European Funds,
like community and voluntary groups, may not have the capacity or
resources to apply directly to main Funding Programmes. Key Funds
can make awards of up to 100% of project costs, up to a maximum of £30,000.
This simplifies procedures for applicants, whilst observing all the
appropriate safeguards.
With emphasis on a grass-roots approach, on active
citizenship, and on the development of social economy initiatives,
resources are available to support local organisations and build
capacity within communities. Guidance
notes, detailing the
operation of Key Funds, have been prepared for project staff, members
of Key Funds Boards and others involved in the development or management
of the Funds.
